The unique and genuine Outokumpu Old Mine area with its renovated 1920s buildings is the place where the modern mining industry of Finland started and where the multinational company Outokumpu Oy has its origins. The area includes a concentrating plant, the old mine tower, hoist room and museum shaft with restored machines and eguipment. Also interesting exhibitions in the Mining Museum, Souvenir shop and restaurants.
